R&D Characterization Chemist

The Shepherd Chemical Company

As an R&D Characterization Chemist, I oversee the operation of a high-performance characterization lab. My role is centered on providing technical expertise, supporting new product development, and optimizing existing formulations through advanced analytical techniques. I am passionate about problem-solving and innovation, ensuring that our research drives meaningful advancements in materials science.

Beyond my technical role, I am deeply committed to mentoring women in STEM. I believe that fostering an inclusive and supportive environment is crucial for empowering the next generation of female scientists and leaders. Mentorship provides women with the confidence to pursue leadership roles, navigate challenges, and break barriers in traditionally male-dominated fields. By sharing my experiences, I hope to inspire others to embrace their potential and carve out their own paths in the industry.

I am honored to serve on Ashland University’s Advisory Board for Women’s Leadership. This opportunity allows me to contribute to a mission that aligns with my values—supporting and uplifting women as they develop their careers. Through collaboration and mentorship, I look forward to making a meaningful impact and helping shape a future where women have equal opportunities to lead and succeed.
